HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAY SYC!!!
Today, Spetses Yacht Club officially completes its first year – SYC turns one!
In this time we have achieved a huge amount:
- Over 180 members enrolled
- Official registration as a club
- Membership of the Greek Sailing Federation (EIO)
- Restoration and full renovation of the A.K.S.S. shed for use as our new boat house
- 22 boats (5 different classes) acquired, almost all donated
- Equipment and management secured for the sailing school programme
- Youth sailing lessons run throughout the year
- Over 40 young athletes joined the club
- Our first club yacht race
- Participation in the organization of «Spetses Classic Yacht Race 2014»
- SYC members competed with success in sailing regattas, flying the SYC flag
- Assistance with the organization of «Spetses Mini Marathon 2014»
- Positive cooperation with the Municipality of Spetses, who has recognized our contribution to the island’s youth
and soon we will have another very important announcement…
